Scienta Omicron acquires IP and technology from SIGMA Surface Science

Sigma Surface Science (“Sigma”) is delighted to announce that Scienta Omicron has acquired all IP and technology in order to strengthen the support and offering to the field of surface science.

As of Jan 14, 2020, Scienta Omicron has acquired all IP and technology related to SPM and XPS from Sigma. Sigma has been an innovator in the field of SPM and XPS, and Scienta Omicron will provide the long-term stability to continue this development.

A new business unit for SPM and XPS has been established by Scienta Omicron, which will provide customers with both existing Scienta Omicron products as well as the new Sigma product range. The business unit will be operated by former Sigma staff combined with staff from Scienta Omicron.

Existing customers to Sigma will keep their commercial relationship with Sigma, however Scienta Omicron will immediately start to offer services for SPM and XPS products from Sigma. Please visit www.scientaomicron.com to find out more.
